Ever since GoPro launched the first affordable action camera, extreme pictures like this have become a possibility for sports pros and even amateur athletes. This skydiver, falling at a supersonic speed through the clouds, makes for a perfect example.

This breathtaking photo would be a lot harder to take if it wasn’t for the tiny, convenient action camera. But, regardless of the technology, skydiving’s greatest challenge remains the same: are you brave enough to jump from a moving airplane with nothing but a parachute? Hopefully, GoPro images like this one will continue to inspire us to push the boundaries.
