Akita – Willful And Alert But Wary
The large, powerful Akitas originated in ancient Japan but today carry two distinct breeds selling for around $1,200 a puppy. The Japanese Akita Inu and American Akita, commonly just called Akita, are very popular dogs. They’re assertive, ferocious defenders and one of the most loyal and courageous breeds out there. When they communicate, it sounds like they are speaking under their breath rather than barking.
They’re mouthy dogs that love carrying things. Owners will find their Akita communicating by tugging on their wring or legs, or perhaps bringing a leash. Intelligent, quirky, and strong-willed, they’re a breed that requires an owner to take charge.
