Belgian Malinois – Obedient And Intelligent
The Belgian Malinois was bred as a Belgian herding dog, recognized independently since 1959. This medium-sized short-haired dog looks very similar to a German Shepherd. They’re smart, active dogs that love working, so owners are recommended to get them involved in physical activity.
Owners will find the Belgian Malinois to make excellent watchdogs, being just as protective as is needed. They’re neither shy nor aggressive. Malinois aren’t suited to living outside and should instead be given the affection of the family indoors. They’re excellent hiking and jogging companions, doing well with agility and obedience training. Expect to pay around $1,000 to $1,500 for each.
