Alice Playten – Heart Failure
Although she was an actress, Alice Playten’s tiny voice may be best remembered of her. Fans may have heard her from My Little Pony: The Movie and Ladybug Ladybug. She was also an established name in theater, having started at just 11. The Obie winner starred in Wozzeck, Gypsy, and Spoils of War.
Despite her small stature, the star packs a hearty but high-pitched laugh that can brighten up a room. Unfortunately, Playten passed away in 2011 due to heart failure. The 63-year-old’s condition worsened with pancreatic cancer and juvenile diabetes.
