Andrew Weatherall – Pulmonary Embolism
Andrew Weatherall is credited as one of the biggest personalities during the height of the acid house genre in the music scene in the United Kingdom in the late ’80s. He worked with the biggest names like New Order and Björk and soon became a renowned remixer in his home country.
On top of this, Weatherall helped create Primal Scream’s Screamadelica, which won a Mercury Prize. Sadly, the 56-year-old left the music industry early due to pulmonary embolism in February 2020 at a hospital where he was receiving treatment. The condition happens when the lungs’ pulmonary arteries become blocked.
