But since industrialization ramped up across the world, it contributed to rising temperatures, meaning that it paved the way for numerous icebergs breaking away. Not long ago, the region’s most gigantic iceberg broke away from the ice shelf.
You might not know, but it was the size of Connecticut, and the experts suggest that more are likely to break away as temperatures across the world continue to rise at an alarming rate.
