A Unique Little Decoration
Remember earlier when we mentioned homes growing celery? Well, this is so that there is enough celery for the wedding soup and on every other dish, all of which will have the vegetable in it. But the green addiction doesn’t stop there. It is also used as a wedding decoration, replacing usual flowers in vases at the ceremony and reception.
Speaking of food, some of the dishes you’re likely to find at an Amish wedding include Amish Casserole, creamed celery, coleslaw, dinner rolls, applesauce, and pies. These are all Pennsylvania Dutch recipes.
