The Remnants Of A “Family Trip” To The Moon
Astronaut Charles Duke found a creative way to take his family along for the ride when he went to the moon in 1972. Stepping onto its surface, he left a photograph of him with his wife and two kids behind. Then, with a Hasselblad camera, he took a picture of the family snapshot to bring back home.
The Duke family photo, which bore the inscription identifying the people in the photo, is still on the moon to this day, along with Charle’s bootprints. If aliens do exist, we wonder if the Dukes would be the first ones they’d look for when they land on Earth.
